Things to know before scheduling your massage session

Under 18 years of age:
Any client under the age of 18 must have written/signed permission by a parent or legal guardian prior to receiving any massage or bodywork.  Additionally, it is recommended that the parent/guardian accompany the minor to at least their first session to review their health history form and answer any questions.  The parent/guardian must stay in the treatment room for the duration of the session.
If this is your first massage session at our office:
You will need to fill out a brief health history form.  This takes only 10-15 minutes.  You may simply arrive at your scheduled time, but please allow 10-15 minutes extra for the time your session will be finished.
What to drink: Please prepare for your massage by drinking extra water before and after your massage.  Do NOT drink alcohol.  If you have consumed a substantial amount of alcohol within 24 hours prior to your appointment, you should not receive massage or bodywork.  Please plan accordingly.
What to wear:
Comfortable clothing.  Please be ready by removing jewelry and any heavy eye make-up.

Cancellation Policy

At Body Performance Massage Therapy, we understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients, and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies:

A 24-hour advance notice is required when canceling an individual appointment.

After the first missed appointment, if you are unable to give us the minimum 24-hours advance notice, and we are unable to fill your time slot, you will be charged the 50% of what would have been your treatment fee. At our discretion this charge will be either automatically deducted from the outstanding balance of an existing “value plan” or gift certificate; otherwise, it must be paid in full prior to your next treatment.

If we are able to fill “your” time slot with somebody else, you will not be charged for that missed appointment.

Sickness / Illness

We understand that infections and illness can happen without warning. Colds, Flu, Cough, Fever, Infections, etc... Please cancel your appointment when you are feeling unwell. This protects your massage therapist, other clients, and you as massage may worsen your condition.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to serving you!
